Use the OpenLMS app [not the Moodle app] to access your Moodle courses at Colgate.
Merging course sections
If you are teaching more than one section of the same course, the sections can be merged in Moodle so that you are managing only one Moodle course. You can perform the merge yourself using these instructions for merging course sections. Alternatively, you can submit a request to the Moodle support team at ITSHelp@Colgate.edu.
Migrating content from a prior course
Migrating content from a prior course is quick and easy. You can do it yourself by following these instructions for migrating course content or make a request to have the Moodle team migrate the content. Complete the Migration Request Form which includes a required certification that the copy complies with copyright law.
Note – Since Electronic Reserves are managed, tracked, and verified by the Libraries, ITS will not copy their contents as part of routine course migration requests.
Guest accounts are Local Moodle-Only login accounts created for guests and others requiring special access to Colgate’s learning management system (LMS). Guest accounts usually are assigned a username which is the guest’s email address. To request a guest account, please submit a Guest Account Request form (Colgate login required).
